1. Character Development:
“Your charisma will take you places but it is your character that will keep you there.”  In a society that is driven by “charisma enhancement” we choose to prioritize the inner character that each of us possesses.  

Many students walking in the doors of MC Atlanta come from all different backgrounds, religious denominations and home lives.  Whether you’ve grown up in a “Leave it to Beaver” type family or never had the privilege of meeting one of your parents, whether you’ve strived to live your life as “clean” as possible or you’ve made many costly mistakes along the way, even recently, you’ll fit in as a part of this MC family.  

We strive to not glorify gifts, talents and abilities as much as we glorify integrity, selflessness and pursuit after Christ.  One of the reasons we see so many moral failures in the world today is because many of us were pushed at a young age to “get ahead” early before we “got ahead” internally.  Opportunity and promotion will always be available, but an opportunity to prioritize the enrichment of the inner depths of who you REALLY are is one that gets harder to come by as life moves forward.  

Before you are taught anything else at MC Atlanta, you will be taught to “catch” the importance of Christ-like character in your life as the foundation of your existence. 

2. Leadership Training:
Corporate CEO's tell us that the major void in America now is NOT skill development, but rather, LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT. That's why MC Atlanta puts a strong priority on all forms of leadership training.

It is a well-established fact that WE TEACH WHAT WE KNOW BUT WE REPRODUCE WHO WE ARE. With that truth in mind, MC Atlanta is an extraordinary place to come if you want to grow in your leadership ability. MC students will be surrounded by a staff of extraordinary leaders everyday and because of this; students will have the opportunity to be developed into a better leader on a daily basis.

3. Life Lessons
Life Lessons are a major vehicle for discipleship in a first year student's life. With in-depth studies on a wide variety of subjects, this class will equip a student to be a Godly example and a leader in ANY area of life. From handling the hurts that life brings to dealing with conflict the right way, the principles taught in life-lessons are priceless and will provide a firm foundation in a student's life.

Life-lessons take place 3 times a week and each student is given a study guide for each subject taught. Our goal every year is to create a classroom environment of openness where students aren't afraid to ask tough questions and talk about their personal successes and failures. Our teaching curriculum is compiled from years of experience and a wealth of resources, but the foundation of all we teach is God's Word.

After nine months, 36 weeks and over 90 hours spent learning some of the greatest life lessons the Bible teaches, a student will also have the opportunity to apply what they have learned in a variety of situations and leadership roles throughout the year. Life lessons will be an experience that will enrich the life of a student for years to come.

4. Scripture Studies
Understanding that some of the devil’s greatest work isn't done by putting things in our head, but keeping things out, we put a huge priority on flooding a student’s mind and heart with God's Word.

Every week, each student is required to memorize four Scriptures. In one year a student will have memorized 108 Scriptures, written multiple essays, done focused studies on different books and topics in the Bible, and learned study techniques that will assist them for the rest of their lives.

5. Southeastern (Emphasis for 2nd and 3rd year students)
Southeastern University plays a key role in the academic life of our second and third year students. Throughout the course of the year, second and third year students will take sixteen subjects and be given the opportunity to earn a total of sixteen hours of college credit. These credits are transferable to colleges and universities across the nation. Tests and study guides will be available online. Lectures will also be given to students on all of the sixteen subjects.
Some the subjects offered include: New Testament Survey, Sermon Preparation, and Marriage and Family. These subjects, as well as others from Southeastern, will be relevant to each student regardless of their future occupation or calling in life. Our goal at MC Atlanta is to combine academics with hands on experience. We believe that the combination of these two will benefit our students indefinitely.

6. Alliance
The life changing atmosphere that surrounds 212 and Fusion our ministries to youth and young adults, is not an accident. Every other week, a team of individuals come together for strategic planning, teaching, prayer and refocusing of vision and ministry. This leadership team is called Alliance. Each Alliance meeting, MC students will have the opportunity to glean from the mentoring of Jeanne Mayo and the youth staff. They will also be intricately involved in the leadership, structure and planning of our small group ministry.

Many Pastors and youth workers come from across the nation to glean from this team of leaders, which is available to each MC student on a biweekly basis.

7. Accountability
With the understanding that a PROGRAM develops your talents but a FAMILY develops your character, we strive to build a strong sense of family in MC Atlanta. Two of our main vehicles for this are our AC Families and Iron Sharpens Iron groups (ISI).

AC Families are a small group of first year MC students led by two second or third year students. The goal of this group is to provide support; care and accountability so no one feels isolated or left out. AC Families will also provide a group of people that will help any one student walk through the ups and the downs that life brings. We provide each AC Family with excellence and accountability by meeting weekly with the leadership of each Family for focused mentoring and training.

Iron Sharpens Iron groups are made up of two or three guys or two or three girls who meet once a week for personal accountability. Understanding that the youth culture knows very little about authentic Biblical accountability, we teach in Life Lessons the importance of personal accountability partners and give them a clear blueprint on how to make that kind of friendship thrive. ISI groups ensure that each student is not only learning to live out deep friendship but also being faced with tough questions every week that address their motives and character.

At the end of the year each student of MC Atlanta will be able to say that they didn't grow in the area of only their talents but also their character. We strongly believe that talents may determine one’s potential but character will determine one’s LEGACY. MC Atlanta is truly A FAMILY THING!

8. Jeanne Time
Jeanne Mayo has the privilege of mentoring thousands of pastors and youth workers across the world through her travels, monthly mentoring CD's and downloads, and the Cadre, which consists of Youth Pastors and youth workers who come to Atlanta from all across the country for three days of mentoring. The unique opportunity and privilege that each MC Atlanta student has to meet once a week as a group for two hours of mentoring from Jeanne, is what students affectionately call, "Jeanne Time".

Through the course of a year, MC Students will have experienced over sixty hours of mentoring from Jeanne. The focus of this time is not set in stone and usually encompasses anything from a student’s questions, insights, and discussion that deals with what students are going through during that time. This opportunity will not only give a student the opportunity to learn but also to live up close to and catch the passion and vision of someone who God is using to revolutionize this youth culture.
